I'm an associate professor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and the author of Toward a Composition Made Whole .
I've recently edited a toy camera book with Composing with Images Press (CWiP). The photo book explores, complicates, and represents in compelling ways the concept of Play. All proceeds from the sales of this book will be donated to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation to benefit children in the areas ravaged by tornadoes in 2011.
Now and again, I blog about the photographic process:

Remediate has created a huge body of photographic work in an amazingly short time using a very diverse array of cameras and film types. I admire her courage in developing her own film and experimenting with a variety of techniques. Her boldness in these endeavors is something I envy and admire. She creates color film photographs that look warm and natural, and some of her Holga shots remind me of pinhole photographs. I look forward to seeing her work evolve over the years, and it is a privilege to comment on her work, and vice versa. Feb, 2011 Update: Her new 4x5 pinhole work is just drop dead gorgeous! Her sense of vision in using this camera is top-notch, and her film developing/scanning process is also first-rate, as evidenced by the results! I'll be asking her for her advice in the coming months and years, since the ultrawide 4x5 pinhole is my favorite camera as well. She has become my Zero 4x5 technical guru. :)
