I'm a forty-something geek living in Champaign/Urbana in east central Illinois. In may of 2010 I was diagnosed with stage IIIb Hodgkin's lymphoma, but thanks to chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant, I'm currently cancer-free.

I take photographs as a hobby, and enjoy the technology behind it all. I use a Canon A590IS point & shoot camera running the CHDK firmware for added functionality.
