I make crazy colored prints.
I take photographs so that the prints aren't empty.
I write so that I can afford to take photographs.
Sometimes I chase bees.

Among other things, I'm a documentary photographer loosely associated with the Fremont Arts Council and the Solstice cyclists. (This is Fremont: loose associations are about as good as it gets.)
For the past few years, I've documented the Solstice ride from the back of a bike -- initially a tandem inline tricycle, then a longtail cargo bike. (Instant FAQ: yes, I'm a lunatic; yes, I've fallen off; yes, it was worth it; no, I don't ride the trike any more -- the ride is too slow now for it to be stable.) The pictures here are mostly for the other riders, but given the staggering levels of anarchy inherent to the Solstice ride, there's no way to distinguish between the other riders and the public. The Solstice riders are the public. So, everyone is welcome.
Some Flickr-specific info:
Groups: I'm not out to win any group-membership awards. The ride is about art, participation, and (to a lesser degree) body politics, and I'll usually grant requests to add images to groups with those themes. If the group theme is something like OMG_pink_bits_in_public, I probably won't. If the group is private (so that I can't even tell what it's about), don't bother.
Friends: I'm happy to talk with anybody. There is no secret-squirrel friends-only section with close-ups of genitalia. Everything here is public. Quit asking.
