I am a Senior at Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC. I am majoring in Political Science and Criminal Justice. I originally wanted to pursue a career in federal law enforcement, but I have found my passion for the North Carolina Zoo again. I stopped visiting for about eight years and came back early in 2006. I also used returning to the zoo to re-spark my interest in photography which had been non-existent for the past 3 years. Over the summer I try to attend evey other week, during the school year it has been limited to once a month, but each time I expierence new and exciting things. I feel when I am taking pictures that I am creating a bond with each individual animal, I know it sounds crazy, but everytime I come back it seems like they remember me, which has inspired me to do more with my passion. If you ask anyone that is close to me they will tell you that I have made it the focus of all of my conversations. My entuhsiasm has already begun to pay off, I was asked to be a member of the Friends of the Zoo, the Raleigh Chapter, I gladly accepted. When I get some more free time I hope to become a volunteer, but school comes first. I now hope someday to be of service to the zoo in someway. See you at the Zoo.
