Retired - Family and Photography. I'm an amateur photographer that just loves to go out and shoot whenever I can.

I started out years ago with a Kodak instamatic 110 camera for family and vacations photos. Love that little camera. As the children started to grow I saved enough money to purchase my first SLR, Canon AE-1 and I still have it. This camera served me well for many years, in fact it was so good I purchase the Canon EOS Elan IIe. Unfortunately, between work, kids getting older, flim and processing to expensive, I never really got to use this camera as much as I would have liked.

My first grandchild came along 18 years ago and I wanted a digital SLR. However, back then they were way to expensive so I decided to get a Sony DSC-F707. Once again time flew and the camera was put away until a tragedy in 2008. Our son was killed in an auto accident, he was 29 years old.

After the loss of our son we had a hard time finding recent photos of him. I told my wife this would never happen again and I went looking for a DSLR. All my friends that were into photography told me I had to get a Canon or Nikon, but for some reason I really liked the colors the Sony cameras were putting out, so I went for a Sony.

After several years I'm settled in with a Sony A550 and A580. On one camera I use the Carl Zeiss 16-80mm and on the other, Sony 70-400mm G Lens. Maybe, if I hit the lottery I can get a Full Fram camera with a future 500mm lens and throw in a super macro lens as well. LOL

Well I did not hit the lottery, but I did sell all my equipment and purchased, Sony ILCE 7M2, Carl Zeiss 24-70 F4, 70-200G F4 OSS, Carl Zeiss 55 F1.8 and my last lens Carl Zeiss 35 F1.4. I'm good to go now.

Because of photography and my grandchildern (My son had two boys and my daughter has one girl) I am enjoying life again.

Please do not use any of my photos without my permission, thank you in advance.
