I was in disbelief when I found out Barbara, a.k.a. RedHatGal, was not a Professional Photographer. Reviewing her photostream, you would think the contrary. Barb's images of still life, landscapes and especially flora are creative and well composed. She also has a good eye for detail, trust me, I've experienced it first-hand ;-) Barb is also a considerate and supportive friend. She was the first person on flickr to give me kudos and get me involved with the Kern Photography Association, which has enabled me to become a better photographer. Thank you Barbara and I anticipate we'll all be in for a treat in 2010.

This is so long overdue! Barb has been kind enough to present me with some very complimentary words over the past few years (gawd, has it been two years already?)...she's so very honest and generous if you had not already figured that out... Barb's images are shining examples of creativity and reflections of life that are done in a way that serves as a great example in composition and taste... In Flickr-terms, faves-all, and for those who look close enough there's always an example that drives the photographer in each of us to do better. Thanx Barb, from the heart!

I want to write a testimonial about Barb, the person, and then, her photography skills. She has endured much in her life. Still is battling one thing or another. Yet, she doesn't complain. She brightens my stream with her flow of goodness, her words of encouragment, her love. I feel her passion for life with each breath she takes...and shares. I am learning from her even if she doesn't realize it just yet. What she has gone through, what she currently goes through in her journey, has only strengthened her. I don't think this woman can be broke, just strengthened. Her photography has rich artistic feelings to it. She knows her subjects well and her play with light enhances what and who she sees. I like her choice of processing for each individual image. I am happy, I am grateful, to know Barb. And when she graces my stream, I am thankful to see that ray of sunshine she leaves behind.
