I've had an interest in Photography since I was young. I can thank my Dad for that (and the facial hair!). He's been into photography since before I was born. His pride and joy are his Medium format Hasselblad and his Leica SLR.

I studied fine art over a decade ago _ wow I feel old now...and I specialised in multimedia and performance. But photography was a big part of the course and it was great to have access to a pro-studio and a darkroom. We worked mostly on 35mm but tried some projects on Med-Format too.

Ironic I guess that I ended up working in television as an engineer. Though I LOVED photography in college, I let years slip by without taking a single photo. ( I don't count holiday snaps ;-)

So, Christmas last year I bought myself a D50 and my dad a D70, and then a few months ago I upgraded to the D80. I haven't been able to put it down since.

I'm trying to organise a co-operative photography studio space in Galway. So if you are Galway (or West of Ireland) based and you know of a room/storage space that might work as a studio or if you are interested in getting involved someway then please drop me a line. I have Bowens studio lights and other bits that I'm willing to share/hire out depending on the set-up.

Thank you for taking the time to view some of my work.
