The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

The Manatee Chapter of Florida's West Coast Region of the American Red Cross is responsible for providing emergency assistance and training to over 340,000 people living in Manatee and Hardee counties. The chapter operates in accordance with the fundamental principles of the American Red Cross.
