Thinking is more interesting than knowing, but less interesting than looking.

~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.

I'm a graphic designer (who loves herself a cup of tea) and for many years, photography has been my way to escape when the stress kicks in. I don't know enough on the technical side to take pre-planned/set up/well lit shots, the majority of photos I take are everyday things stumbled upon when I'm out and about. I'm drawn to pattern, texture, typography and designy type things.

Having my photos collecting dust in a box or hidden away on my hard drive prevented me from ever enjoying them past the day they were filed. Flickr allows me to create a stream of pics that I deem...goodies. (some taken years ago, some shot yesterday) I post for myself but I'm thrilled to find others who appreciate what I do and how I see things.

I am very appreciative of a received comment and will do my best to check out your stream and return the favour.

Cheers!

Thought it is about time to publically say how much I love this work.... In particular they make me look at detail, light and design in a different way; which is what I want when looking at others photos. Tania's work is so inspirational to me, that I am almost to the point where I have to ask myself, "Would she take that shot?" while I'm behind the camera lens. She takes excellent, excellent photographs, and couldn't be a nicer Flickr contact. Also, she listens to Vampire Weekend, so that's awesome, in and of itself.

Every single one. Unbelievable! My first encounter with Rdd’s photostream; every image was amazing. I spread my comments over the course of several days so as not to appear a stalker. She can, apparently at will, call out the extraordinary from the banal. In her creative hands, shadows, light, and form become artistic media; amazing design springs from the most unlikely places. Plan to spend some time if you haven’t already visited her work and be sure not to miss her wit and verbal perspective. Her pairing of titles and images is fantastic. If you are fortunate enough to have her as a contact, her comments will effervesce right off the screen – even when I have posted the most mediocre of images, her comments shine brightly. She is a delight in all respects and one of the most talented and artistic photographers around.

Tania has the exceptional ability to make the ordinary look extraordinary. The rustier and crustier the better! She sees shape and form in a way that I've never seen before and captures it so beautifully. I can't wait to see what she will post next.

Some people are meant to see the world through a lens. The things most of us walk past, speak like beacons to others. Tania hears the call and sees this beauty all around us. Some people are meant to see the world through a lens. The things most of us walk past, speak like beacons to others. Tania hears the call and sees this beauty all around us. She cherishes it and brings it into our own lives through her photographs with her intuitive and most passionate eye. What was once mundane, she now captures in a silent, still moment, filled with glorious detail. The world of textures, shapes and forms have found a proper home in her stream.
