I'm a contributing photographer and writer for the National Parks Traveler (www.nationalparkstraveler.org) where I write a monthly article for the "Photography In The National Parks" column, in addition to 3-day national park itineraries and my "Armchair Photography Guides" to selected national parks. I also maintain the Traveler's Instagram account @national_parks_traveler.

I've always loved to travel, and have visited and photographed in such locales as London, Paris, Ireland, western Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, California, Colorado, Oregon, Maine, Arizona, Washington, Wyoming, Utah, Montana, and Texas. Because of my work for the National Parks Traveler, the majority of my photographic adventures take place in national parks, and I've been to Arches, Crater Lake, Grand Teton, Glacier, Denali, Lake Clark, Katmai, Canyonlands, Mesa Verde, Big Bend, Yellowstone, Mount Rainier, Olympic, the North Cascades Complex, Redwood National and State Parks, Lassen Volcanic, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Great Basin, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Rocky Mountain, Hawai'i Volcanoes, Acadia, Great Sand Dunes, Death Valley, Mesa Verde and Petrified Forest national parks, Padre Island National Seashore, John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, Ice Age Floods National Geologic Trail, Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail, Lewis and Clark National Historical Park, and four different national recreation areas.

My cameras of choice are all full-frame and mirrorless: Sony Alpha a7riv, Fujifilm GFX 100, and Fujifilm GFX 100s.
