often the photographers into 'alternative' process takes a weird turn : the process IS then the subject, the photo is seen as itself as a 'performance', generally with great emphasis (to hide sometimes the lack of inspiration or talent). But the results are often at the end very flat . . Fred is totally on another level and a true photographer, with a very personal and fine eye : not only its passion and energy are obvious, but the themes and series show so much of its 'esthète' and very modern personality.
