I've always walked around, thinking "That would be a great moment to capture"- painting and drawing take too long, and the moment has passed or the shadows are just a little different in the end.

Don't get me wrong, I paint and I draw as well- right now time is short and moments are always fleeting.

Photography allows anyone to capture the moment and then some. You still need an artistic eye and flare to make photography work- you can learn the mechanics of photography, but sometimes its simply more than mechanics- be more than a mechanic-
