Royal College of GPs Archives
Drag to set position!
The Royal College of General Practitioners is a membership organisation representing 44,000 family doctors committed to delivering excellence in general practice and patient care, in the UK and overseas.
Established in 1952, in 2012 we celebrate 60 years supporting general practice.
Our archive holds records dating back to our inception, on the development and governance of the College; our work in training, licensing and re-validating general practitioners; and our dedication to funding and publishing research.
We also have a fascinating museum collection, detailing the evolution of medical instruments and practice over the last two centuries.
You can view gems from our collection here in our flickr account. We'd love to see your comments and questions on our medical past!
