Hello everyone, I'm just a southern country fellow with a Sony A7III, kinda learning and just having fun with it as I go. My wife and I live in a small country town where I grew up, with a population of around 2000 for an idea of the size. ;) Very rural and peaceful!

All my image processing is done by "hand" with Adobe Lightroom Mobile on a Galaxy S9 tablet. I use the tablets stylus pen for fine detail work.

As far as lenses to match up to my Sony A7III, I have several but prefer my Sigma Sports telephoto 150-600mm and the Sigma Art 24-70mm and last the Sigma Art Macro/Portrait 105mm. On the telephoto lens, I made an oak handle that attaches to the tripod mount because I never use a tripod for that lens anyway. I use the handle like a rifle forearm stock to aim with. It works very well. All my gear is carried in an antique looking canvas and leather camera backpack, a country rustic appearance, which fits my style perfectly!!

I have just recently added film photography to my adventures as of late 2024. I purchased three film cameras to start this experience with pictures of them in my photostream.

1957 YASHICA 635 120 film square format film

1977 PENTAX K1000 35mm film

1978 CANON A-1 35mm film

I have everything now to start developing my own film as well and scanning the negatives to digital to add to this adventure? I also bought an adapter from Sony E-mount to Canon FD, so I can now experiment with using my 1978 Canon A-1 vintage manual lenes with my Sony. which is kinda cool!

Guys, I'm not on Flickr all the time, and I'm sorry if I miss something or don't get a comment in all the time. I do tend to take Flickr breaks and only post my work from time to time. I once had Facebook but decided I had "enough" of that.... and I won't be on Flickr all the time either.

But anyway... I'm mainly a hit and miss opportunity photographer who takes shots of things that catch his eye. A varied photostream I hope you enjoy!

Thank you for visiting, and God bless you and yours!

You call yourself a beginner photographer, I really disagree. Impeccable insight and natural talent is so obvious. *-* A big thank you Raymond, for your photos so poetic and so romantic. Looking at them, we have only one regret: not being with you and your wife, and "walking", walking, hiking with you. We would go from surprise to surprise. And I'm sure you have all kinds of exciting stories to tell. The best for both. Again and again more discoveries and beautiful photos.

Very nice photo stream Raymond. I can see that you like to photograph old buildings and capturing a way of life and history. I have some of those same interests. You have chosen a fine camera which will serve you well. However it is only the instrument; you are the artist. Best wishes.
