More seriously, my work involves travel and a lot of changing scenery. Now and then I find something interesting enough to make me stop and start shooting. Some of that ends up here. When I'm not traveling, I'm liable to shoot damn near anything I see; maybe something I made for dinner, might be something on my desk, maybe a book I'm reading, or music I'm listening too. The point being, there's always something to shoot, so SHOOT IT.

Seasonal Note: From time to time the focus of my attention may seem to shift between indoor and outdoor subjects--this is not a bug. Lately summers have been extremely hot here in Las Vegas (frankly, around the Globe from what I read) and those conditions limit my outdoor activities (BIGLY). The result is that I find myself shooting inanimate objects AT HOME. The subject of those photos may be something/anything on my desk or simply a stack of books, maybe a watch or two, even dinner (after all, one must shoot SOMETHING, mustn't one?). On the other hand, Spring, Fall and even the Winters here in the desert can be quite pleasant and that facilitates more outdoor activities, and that tends to involve time spent on my motorcycle, which leads intern to more landscapes, and, if I'm lucky, new discoveries and new adventures; the stuff I'm really into. Because to be perfectly honest, "Like a true Nature's Child, I was born, born to wild" though admittedly, not quite as wild as I used to be ;- )

Technical Note: Most of my stuff is shot RAW and processed in Lightroom BEFORE posting on Flickr, and even includes my iPhone shots. If you're not working along those lines, I encourage you to explore the possibilities available to you in the world of Post Processing--it will make you a better photographer. Now, as to phones--they work fine as cameras, and it's the camera you generally have with you so there's no shame in using it for that purpose. However, they are NOT the best way to view photography on Flickr! Sure, you can use your phone to keep up to date on new postings and the folks you follow, but PLEASE go home and view it all again on a decent 4k or 5k monitor of at least 27 inches, as your earliest convenience (makes ALL the difference).

Fine print: I like faves and comments as much as the next guy, but please, no invites to Awards or Levels-oriented groups--just not into that aspect of Flick'n.

Pet peeves: Users who don't fill in their profile; we don't need your address and phone number, but a country would be nice.

Words of wisdom: In photography, timing is everything (luck is everything else).

And remember, the camera ALWAYS lies (at least, mine always does).
