He really makes me proud to be Manx and when I receive compliments on my photography from him, well, it makes my day to know that someone of his standard appreciates my work. His HDR work is simply magnificent and his photos of the already beautiful Isle of Man are simply outstanding. If I can ever achieve a fraction of Ray's photographic skill then I know I'd have something. Don't ever stop photographing, Ray!

Ray is, among other photographic wonders, a master of clouds who works beautifully in both color and monochrome! It never ceases to amaze me how much depth and beauty he is able to fit into his individual pieces of art. I am particularly drawn to his shots of lighthouses, bridges and piers, but his exquisite work also includes rolling hills, rumbling cars, racing motorcycles, and resplendent reflections. Based on his work alone, I have added the Isle of Man to my list of must places to visit someday! I am not one who is typically drawn to HDR work, but when Ray decides to use it he has the perfect touch-- and his application of it to his monochrome work is especially effective. And, of equal importance, Ray is a generous and supportive soul. Thanks for all of your generosity to me and to others and for running such great flickr groups (especially ***Mono**Sepia)!
