Enthusiastic amateur photographer.

Present camera is Sony Alpha 850 with 2.8/28-75 SAM, 2.8/100 Macro and 4.5-5.6/75-300 lenses.

Previous cameras have been a Sony DSC-R1 and a Sony DSC F707 which are still used from time to time particularly by my grandchildren who love going out "on a shoot" with grandpa. I was also once the proud owner of an early Sony Mavica (shoot to floppy disk) which sadly was retired permanently when overrun by better technologies.

Other things in my life are Travelling with friends to overseas destinations.

Reading and writing, and editing digital images on my computer using Lightroom,Photoshop and a gaggle of lesser photography software. A personal favourite is Magix Photostory deluxe from which I prepare slideshows of my travels and other topics for family and friends.

I have little time for other retirement options but enjoy socialising, good food and wine.

I am a member of the Kapiti Camera Club where I have plenty of opportunities to show off my photography and am just beginning to get to grips with social networking on Face book and Flickr.
