Retired male, Olympus and Zuiko admirer. Being retired on ill health grounds and limited fixed income, I find ebay a good source to obtain Olympus gear. This in some instances is refurbished and brought back to usable condition, to enable me to enjoy film photography again. I'm not adverse to getting zuiko lenses that have slight fungus growth, as I have found for my type of photography, image performance is not impaired drastically ( I accept opinions may vary on this ) Have managed to obtain a fair selection of OM bodies OM1's 2's 4's in great condition and fully working at very reasonable cost.

My Zuiko Lenses.

I have also obtained off Ebay a selection of Zuiko lens, Prime and zoom. These, again at very reasonbale cost , all externally in excellent to mint condition, however, some with very slight fungus starting and others crystal clear, or with very fine dust, internally. None of these faults? have shown dramatic image impairment (on my type of photograpghy and use) I have found by leaving lens in sunlight, that the fungus, seems to abait and the effect seen, seems to improve ( but obviously not clear up). The lens are perfectly usuable by me and will be for quite a few years more, as they will be subject to better care and exposure to light, which, I believe, is the enemy of such fungus.

At this present time, my film C41 (date expired) is processed By Boots and scanned. In future, I shall process my self and scan using a Epson 4490 and Picasa 3 editing program. Photo's only being used for web use and presentation.

Any comments, constructive please, or questions, welcomed.

Since writing the earlier part above, I have since, started collecting and using Nikon gear, namely Nikon FM's, FE's and FE2's and Nikkor lens, primes and Zooms Ai's and Ai mounts Manual Focus versions. These, also obtained off Ebay, all at reasonable cost and in Mint to Excellent condition. Cameras I have resealed and if required meter's adjusted to within manufacturers original tolorances, again at very reasonable cost by a retired Olympus/Nikon trained technician. The build and engineering qualities of these old classic designs are never to be repeated in my opinion and are really a pleasure, to hold, use and appreciate.

More recently, using a couple of Panasonic DMC's LX2 and LX3 and Gf1,GF2 and a GX1 with add on Raynox lens, MSN-202 and M-250. Have found them to be ideal combo's for my style of nature photography. Also very recently, acquired more Digital Nikon Gear, cameras, D70,D70S, D80 D1X's with various Nikkors. Also Fujifilm X10, X20 & X30.
