I grew up in Los Angeles and studied music at UC Santa Barbara. Ethno-musicology that is! It's like anthropology through music.

I then lived in west Africa for two years and amongst learning how to build a house from stone and treating wounds with plants, I learned how to take photographs. With my mom's film school books and my point-shoot camera, I photographed traditional ceremonies and daily life in my village of Samala-Haut.

From then on I've wanted to do nothing but take photography of people and how they interact with their environments. Sometimes I slip up and take photos of interesting objects or scenery, but I like those too.

Edward's mother, Linda Perry, one of the only veteran female grips in TV and Movies. Edward's grandfather, Eduardo Becerril, was a tailor for Walt Disney studios, you might've seen his work on the original Pirates of the Caribbean the ride.
