The Ratachaprasong area of Bangkok lies in the heart of Bangkok's modern shopping district. The center of Ratchaprasong is made by the Ratchaprasong intersection where Rajdamri Rd. and Ploenchit/Rama I road cross.
Ratchaprasong has witnessed very dramatic events since a few years. From April 3rd unto May 19th, 2010 it was occupied by tens of thousands of peaceful redshirt protesters. The violent crackdown of the protest in which the army sent in troops with the order "shoot to kill" resulted in about 91 killed unarmed civilians and over 2'000 injured.
I happen to live in a condominium located right in the heart of Ratchaprasong. My collection of photos of the redshirt protests in April and May on Ratchaprasong can be found here:

This photostream is dedicated to redshirts activities and related incidents after the crackdown in April and May 2010.
This collection of photos is nothing more than a documentation of actual events that happened. This is not meant to be a forum for political discussion. I will keep deleting all comments that are nothing more than politically motivated propaganda, that use vulgar language, that distort the truth and that discredit anyone.
