I am grateful and privileged to have grown up in Argyllshire on the west coast of Scotland. During that time I spent many years working as a forester amongst the hills, lochs and glens. To me, the softly lit landscapes of my home country are beautiful, full of mood and mystery.

I grew to love the soft, surreal light created by the frequent wet and misty days that would change a complex landscape into a silent, monochromatic and minimalist world. With my photography I aim to show how this early love remains with me motivating and influencing my photographic adventures wherever I go.
