Christian Ranzani bio:

My trade is metal work, I served an apprenticeship as a fitter and turner in Cape Town. Studying Product Design in London turned my career from the workshop to the desktop.

Working for established design firm SCP (www.scp.co.uk) in trendy East London gave me great insight in the creative process of developing and marketing products.

I specialised on furniture design with TCC (www.thechair.co.uk), a small business which designed and traded in West London and manufactured in the Far East on a large scale for a major UK kitchen and dining retailer.

I would define my greatest design influences coming from Alessi (www.alessi.com), for its playful adoption of practical solutions and Muji (www.muji.com), for its simplicity in purest form making it affordable to everyone.
