Hi I'm Rana and I've been doing photography seriously for about a year now.
Shveck got me inspired to take photo class in school. Giving me some of her old cameras made me want to use them. I took my first roll of film last summer.
After taking some pictures, I decided I liked photography and I submitted my AP Studio Art Portfolio in May in all Photography. Although unconventional, the board did seem to like it, because i got a 4 out of 5. My Concentration was entitled, "Coastal scenes through the eye of a pin" I have some of the 12 pictures posted, others are lost in cyber space.
My concentration helped me get even more into photography. Although taking pinhole pictures from cardboard boxes is merely impossible to take pictures of people, never the less moving people, since the exposure time ranges anywhere from 30 seconds to 50 minutes. I still wanted to explore photography more.
I have 5 pinhole cameras that i use, two of which I made.
First i used shvecks Canon Rebel to take my first couple rolls. It was great but it started acting up and needing new batteries after one roll of film. I then went to digital for a while, on my Canon Cyber-shot 8.1 megapixel camera. Shveck has now given me a new camera, The Olympus OM-2. which has beautiful pictures, so now i'm back into fiilm. (although its much more expensive!!)
I'm still learning, so if you have the time to check my photos out drop me a line of critique, it would be greatly appreciated!!
