I have been taking pictures for about 12 years now. All starting from borrowing my dad's Pentax ME Super to take a picture of my friend jumping into the pool. Shortly there after, I got into a photography class in high school where we were given a Pentax K1000.

Using photos that ran in the yearbook, I applied to the student-run newspaper at the University of Arizona. For some reason or another, they hired me.

Now out of college, I am working at a newspaper full-time as a reporter and photographer.

In my freetime, I shoot an occasional wedding or kid portrait, that or go for a hike and take some shots along the way.

I love what photography has given me. I have gotten to do and see things in this world that I would have never gotten the chance to be a part of.

Photojournalism lets me be the person who goes in to show everyone what is behind closed doors, on the other side of the yellow tape, or around that corner. I get to meet new people every day, and experience things that wouldn't be possible any other way.
