I've always found photography fascinating, but never picked up on it for some reason. I got my first ever camera when I was 26 (a late bloomer? :-)). My trusty old Canon IXUS v3, which I loved and used for years. I took a lot of pictures with my IXUS.

Eventually I felt the need to get an SLR and bought a Canon 400D (a.k.a. Digital Rebel XTi). I shot tens of thousands of frames with that camera, more than most people I know. The 400D is what kick-started my passion for photography and I will always cherish that camera, although I have now moved on to a bigger and better bodies.

Flickr has been a great place to learn and get inspiration. Each time I browse my contacts' photos or elsewhere on Flickr I am in awe of what people are able to capture and create. I love photography. There's so much to shoot, and so much to learn!
