Hobby photographer most interested in macro work but still learning slowly about other areas that I have less opportunity to photograph. I am a member of a number of theme/challenge-based groups so that I can have a focus each day or week for trying out areas or subjects I may not otherwise think of.

For me, macro offers the most opportunity - with a young son, the ability to find subjects all around me when I have some time to myself after he has gone to bed, while still staying in the house on hand in case of emergency, is a real advantage of macro.
