Nature is infinite; many generations have gleaned at it before me. Many will do so after me. But we can only comprehend a minuscule in each lifetime. Here is a glimpse of what I could, thus far...

Very soothing and humbling to spend time with nature and acknowledge her greatness. My passion is to capture the beauty of nature (if I can) out there and deliver it to you. Many beautiful and colorful birds go unnoticed because they remain far from the visible eye. Most of my shots of birds/animals are in the wild and I do not do post processing to put the subject in a made-up environment to make the picture look deceptively beautiful. I try to present the environment as it appears to the photographer. Part of the thrill (and lot of disappointments) in trying to capture wildlife in its natural environment is that the subject won't cooperate with you and the lighting conditions are almost never ideal. My pictures are mostly presented as captured except for cropping and minor editing. Moreover, most of them are of wild birds that are free to fly away.

I wonder why these birds are so colorful and beautiful even to humans! If it is to just impress the partner, surely birds are more intelligent than we are for being able to recognize these colors and intricate patterns. Talk about bird-brain.!!

In October 2018 I traded my Nikon D300 for a Nikon D850 camera. I shoot with a Nikon F4, 500 mm telephoto lens and a tripod with gimbal head. Would love to hear from like photographers on good locations for bird-photography.
