PLANTS, FINNISH NATURE, ORIENTEERING

I am a botanist working in the Botany Unit of The Finnish Museum of Natural History in Helsinki, Finland. Hence there are lots of photos of vascular plants (wild or cultivated), their habitats, landscapes (mainly from Finland, and mostly near Helsinki).

Moreover, there are lots of photos from sport events (mainly orienteering events or terrains), especially from those arranged by my own orienteering club (Helsingin Suunnistajat).

I am afraid that my photo naming convention is quite boring (typically 'what, where, when' instead of a more artistic title).

Photos are geotagged (often quite accurately by adding the route data recorded with a gps watch into the exif data of the photos). In some cases I have intentionally left the photos without coordinates.

A note about privacy. There are lots of photos from orienteering competitions and other sport events. If you don't, for reason or another, feel comfortable in seeing your photo at Flickr, please send a note via e-mail and I'll remove the photo.
