Who am I? -- I am... Raider3. (Yes, I am "that" Raider3 - Hai, boku wa sono "Raider3" desu.)

(But, evidently, I didn't get to "Raider3" on here soon enough - Oh, well, life goes on.)

Welcome to my photo archive for Raider3.com and Network R3.

(No, you're not spacing out - I do redo portions of this page from time to time.)

-------------------

Important Stuff That Should Be Read, But Probably Won't Be. If you're already on my contact list, you have nothing to worry about, if you choose to stay.

If Any Or All Of The Following:

1. If you have no public pictures at all to share...

2. Your profile picture is the standard "blockhead" image...

3. If you have nothing written on your profile page...

Then maybe it's not a good idea to add me as a contact. If you feel inclined to add me, I would greatly appreciate it if you commented on anything before adding me or favoriting any images. Flickr's supposed to be about "Photo Sharing!", right? ^_^;

Adding me as a contact puts me under no obligation or requirement to add you back. Blocking me will most likely result in me blocking you back.

Again, if you've already added me, and/or we've exchanged pictures and/or comments previously, you're here to stay, if you choose to stay.

Latest News - 2010.6.14 0012 PDT / 2010.6.14 0712 GMT:

Reached up to the 30,000 - 35,000 - 40,000 view level (Stream, pages, and individual photos) - currently a few below 44,000, racked up over 9,000 uploads. (You're getting about 95% of my photos since 2003) - Celebratory 30,000, 35,000, and 40,000 hit images coming soon. I promise...

Photo deletions are very rare, you're getting my life and what I see as it happens and as I choose to show it. I guess it's "Flickr therapy." - The sessions continue, no matter what. Do I really deserve good fortune, I wonder?

I am gradually becoming a bit more open about myself. Even after so many years in this world, I'm still trying to find out who I am. I do know a few things - I have quite a few bright and shining memories of my youth, I remember the fun stuff I grew up with, and have cultivated an appreciation for anything beautiful. I also have an interest in the history of things I grew up with - Places of the past, businesses, retail. It's a mixed bag.

I am back in the job market, not by choice, but rest assured - The Raider3 Singularity will continue on as planned... Keep watching for more news....

The degrees of connection here on Flickr are growing, gradually.

Nonetheless, there are some undeniable truths left over from last year ...

A spark was ignited, a window was opened where I thought a door was closed.

I will hold my head up high, remember what inspired me, and strive to give my best efforts into what I do here, and elsewhere.

There will be some surprises in store before this year is out, perhaps carrying over into the upcoming years.

As always, keep checking back.... Just to see what I do next.

I define myself by my interaction with others, here, elsewhere online, and in the real world.

I am coming to terms with my "mid-life crisis", but I'm resolving to never, ever, act my true age. Nonetheless, I appreciate the wisdom of my years. Let's just compromise and say that I'm "old enough to know better." (Funny, I don't feel middle-aged, but then, I still acted like I was in my 20s for just about all of my 30s...)

You'll find photos of conventions and events I've been to, some family gatherings and vacation photos, and some totally off-the-wall random stuff from time to time. I am in the process of gathering up all my digital photos from about seven years back and putting most of them up here. There are gaps for now.

You might notice I'm a fan of Osamu Tezuka's legendary outlaw surgeon, Black Jack. There's a few items from my collection scattered around here, and perhaps a few photos of myself in costume.

My weapons of choice are the Canon EOS Rebel XS (10.1 MP) DSLR, and Kodak P850 (5.1 MP) digital cameras, as well as my Samsung SGH-A767 Propel cell phone with its' 1.3 MP camera. Occasionally, I post webcam images, and the occasional graphic item/title card. (If you look way back in the stream there are a few pictures I took with my Motorola RAZR V3 - Time moves on, you get a better phone, life is fine. ^_^;)

So, what is the purpose of my photo collection?

It is whatever it needs to be at the time and place it's needed.

• Sometimes it's a window into how I see the world through my eyes and filter it through my mind.

• Sometimes it's a chronicle of adventures I've experienced.

• Sometimes it's all about "urban archaeology."

• Sometimes it's a showcase for my attempts at artwork.

• Sometimes it's a spotlight on my hobbies and interests. (Anime, cooking, books, music, travel, etc.)

• Sometimes it's a display for things I collect.

• Sometimes it's a place for me to show off my costumes.

• Someday it may be a window into another path of life, perhaps another gallery here. Who knows?

(That particular someday is arriving soon - A new Flickr space has been created. All I will say is - It's a place I can go to when I don't want to be me.)

No apologies or regrets for any of the photos I post, or the text that goes with them.

As long as my account remains safe - It's good.

Consider this a window on my view of the world. I don't bite... hard. ^_^;

For right now, enjoy the roving eye view of whatever I see that I feel is worth posting up here and elsewhere....
