Phil Vickery MBE, nicknamed “Raging Bull” by Sir Clive Woodward for his gritty determination and power on the rugby pitch, launched his clothing company “Raging Bull” in 2003. Initially the product was predominately rugby playing and training kit.

In 2007 while Phil was leading the England rugby team to the World Cup final. Shannon Mercer was appointed as MD to develop the leisurewear division. Shannon's background with global lifestyle brands such as Levi and Timberland has brought energy and expertise to the company and has led to the establishment and significant growth of the brand over the past few years.

Leisurewear has driven the brand from a niche rugby brand to a recognised major player in the menswear market. The label is now stocked at major UK retailers such as Debenhams and House of Fraser, as well as over 55 independents. In 2009 Raging Bull partnered with Halbro an established rugby manufacturer who now have the license to produce Raging Bull Sportswear products.
