Hi there, I'm Raffaele Fiocca, born in 1961 in Pescara which is the city of the writer and poet Gabriele D'Annunzio. It is situated in the middle of Italy, framed by the Adriatic sea and the highest peaks of the Italian Appennines range. These mountains are plenty of wild life but the animals leaving here (bears, wolves, deers, eagles, chamoises, roebucks, wild cats, squirrels, snakes and so on) are very elusive. For this photo hunting is difficult and, at the same time, very exiting. Once Samnites lived in these valleys. They were the people of shepherds who struggled against the ancient Romans to take the control of the Italian peninsula. Roaming on the top of these mountains, among these valleys that were the basin of the world civilitation or around the circles shaped by the ice during the glacial age, I enjoy photo which is one of my best hobbies.
