The Nutshell: I'm an extremely liberal-minded, animal-loving vegetarian with an undying love for synthpop music, traveling the world, and a good bean burrito. I hope to never outgrow the comic book fanboy and sci-fi/fantasy devotee within.

I'm a Libra, so never expect me to make up my mind completely - I enjoy teetering precariously on both sides of the fence! Often to my own dismay, I oscillate wildly (thank you, The Smiths) between my logic-driven, rationally-minded and emotionally-charged, impulsive natures.

Though I strongly cling to my Texas roots, New York is everything to me: The people, the culture(s), the art, the fashion, the architecture, the music scene, the bustling sidewalks, the craze. I love and crave it all! Other favorite cities: Austin, Cologne, Dublin, Florence, Prague and San Francisco.

I have a deep appreciation for all art forms, but Music has always been the center of my universe. Along with such synth-driven contemporaries as Depeche Mode, Yazoo, Anything Box, and Villa Nah, Vince Clarke and Andy Bell of Erasure are my greatest musical inspirations, through their innovative ways of shaping electronic beats, beeps, and buzzing voices into vast sonic textures. On the classical side of the spectrum, J.S. Bach, Brahms, Durufle, Lauridsen, and Britten are true visionaries for their beautiful fusion of music and text, their exploration of harmonic colors, and their masterful attention to musical phrasing and the lyrical line.

I have big dreams that involve performing my own music and taking it on the road one day, so stay tuned...
