Contract Administrator on NASA Shuttle Program for most of 30 years working for Rockwell International Space Systems Division (RI SSD) and Boeing Space and Defense Systems after it acquired RI SSD. Retired January 1, 2014.

I started photography with a Kodak Retina Automatic III given to me by my father-in-law, about 1980. A very good film single lens camera. Took many good film pictures with it.

Currently I have:

Pentax K-30 (16MP) with a set of lenses, including a Sigma 170-500mm, several macro lens, and a number of manual M42 lenses, including Takumar, Carl Zeiss, and several Russian lenses. This camera is a good camera for fast, action, photos, or taking photos continuously at 6 fps.

Sigma DP2 Merrill (46MP), with several adapted telephoto and wide angle attachments, as well as macro attachments, including the AML-2 Sigma makes for the camera. Essentially this (the standard 45mm equivalent camera of a series of wide angle, standard, and telephoto Sigma DP Merrill cameras) is able to take photos that are equivalent to what a medium format camera can take.

Sigma SD-15 (14MP), with a collection of lenses, including the 150-500mm, the 50mm f/1.4, the 10-20mm, the 105mm macro, and a few others. This camera uses the same Foveon sensor (a smaller, earlier version of that used by the DP2M), and is a full size DSLR that can be used various lenses that have a Sigma mount. It will also accept Pentax K mount lenses, on a manual basis only. But, you have to make sure that the rear of the lens doesn't interfere with the IR filter in the camera body.

Nokia 808 Pureview and Lumia 1020. Both are very good for portable (almost always on my belt). Both are high resolution 41 MP (38 MP effective, 7152 x 5368 pixels), Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, Xenon flash, 1/1.2'' sensor size, ND filter, up to 4x lossless digital zoom, etc. Mostly using the 1020 now.

I also have my smart phone, Samsung Galaxy S4, but I rarely use it, unless I have nothing else with me.
