My first interest in Photography started when I decided to take up photography classes in school for A-Levels, and then AS Levels.
Throughout my experiences in them, I've been able to learn how to take analogue and digital photographs with a large analogue Canon camera and develop the prints in the 'dark room'. In addition, I was given opportunities to let my mind and knowledge explore, and produce reasonable portfolio projects whilst also understanding how to describe my photography photos in a more detailed way (e.g. texture, perspective, distances, colors, shades and tones) instead of just explaining what I saw briefly in the image and saying where these photographs were taken.
Ever since leaving the school after Sixth Form, my interest in Photography just kept growing, and with the use of my digital 'Canon Powershot SD1100IS' camera that my Dad kindly bought me for Christmas a while ago, I've had many chances to expand my knowledge and gain further skills, such as having patience and using the 'macro' function when it came to capturing the micro animals, plants and objects.
Before I publish any photograph I've taken, I go through some editing, which involve either just fiddling around with the brightness and contrast to make the image stand out more (or less), or adding effects to it to create a different interesting view. With the colorful images, I tend to enhance the colors to add a vibrant and colorful feeling to the atmosphere when the viewer sees it.
Overall, I feel Photography is most definitely one of my favorite passions in life, as it allows you to capture unforgettable moments and sights, and I think that every photograph has a memory behind it if you look deep into it and let all the experiences and enjoyable (or sad) times unfold within them. Lastly, photography gives you the chance, if shot correctly, to see the world and give you mixtures of emotions and power through it. It makes you feel as if you're 'living in the moment'.
