I am always excited to see a justmakeit upload waiting in my contact page. Rachel's photos are wonderful. She has a gift for seeing light and using it in beautiful and unexpected ways. She can bring colors together with stunning results. There's often a surprising detail tucked somewhere in her work that will reveal itself with a second glance: a reflection or a shadow or a bit of bokeh that adds great layer to her work. Simply put, I love looking at her photos. I own many of them in magnet form. Since meeting Rachel through Flickr, I've had the pleasure of getting to know her in person. It didn't take long for me to be convinced that she doesn't employ a ghost writer to compose her tags and comments, she's every bit as intelligent, kind and funny as her Flickr writings would have you imagine. She's the reason I started my own 365 project and I've learned so much about photography from following her stream. As always, I'm looking forward to more.

I've been keeping a close eye on Justmakeit's photostream since we both began our 365 project at the New Year. It has been a joy to watch her photographic confidence grow; to see her trying unexpected shots and achieving stunning macros. She has plenty of comments applauding her photos but she remains ever modest and seems almost surprised by it all. I dont think she realises what a great talent she has for this photography lark. I look forward to enjoying her photos through to the next new year and beyond. Nicky x
