I love to travel!
I've driven cross country 3 times.
I've been to Russia on 4 separate occasions [3 weeks in high school, 5 weeks in college, 9 months in college, and then 3 weeks post-college].
I've also been to Egypt, Israel, Turkey, England, France, Italy, Monaco, Iceland, Indonesia, Taiwan, Cuba, Canada, and Mexico.
I have a slight Disneyland/World obsession.
I am a runner. I've run 6 marathons, almost 50 half marathons, a ton of shorter distances, and some awesome relays. I'm currently in training for my first 50K. Running is also a great excuse to travel!
I love photography!

If any single photographer has altered the way I see, it's Rachel-B. We share some loves—for rust (who doesn't?) and crust and contrast-y goodness. We both are fans of in-camera composition, whose crops are purposeful and sometimes severe. But it's Rachel's processing—her shots of ordinary items rendered breathtakingly dramatic—that has made me rethink what I shoot and why. Sometimes I find myself working on a photograph and thinking: this is so Rachel! I can't think of a better compliment, really—that imitation and flattery thing being so true. But better than all is that Rach is such a dear person—deliciously wicked (disguised as sweet) and with a fine sense of humor. Though she is much younger than I am, I have no doubt we'd be friends in real life. She is at the top of the list for a west coast visit. Cheers to one of Flickr's—and the world's—finest photographic artists.

I look forward to Rachel's photos every day! She inspires us to see great photo ops in anything rusty and old, and we were all happy with her when she got her new lens. Creative, wildly colorful, and impeccably composed.
Each and every one of Rachel's photographs is like a little gem sitting waiting for us to discover it... bursting with colours, life, fun, emotion. She has a very talented eye for seeing the detail around us, and I thank her for capturing it in that special way for us to see
