Hello folks and welcome to my pics. I'm hoping that my Flickr account will serve a dual purpose: firstly to allow my family and friends to catch a glimpse of my adventures in various parts of the world (primarily the two years I spent living in Northern Japan) and secondly, to further my burgeoning interest in photography. Hopefully that little disclaimer explains the somewhat eclectic mix of snapshots and "arty" pics you'll find here! In photographic terms I would describe myself as a beginner who sometimes gets lucky. Flickr has already inspired me to improve my art, and I look forward to receiving your comments so that I can improve further. I know I have a long way to go before I can even begin to emulate some of the shots here! I have only invested in a decent digital camera comparatively recently, so these photos will have to do until I can stretch the budget enough to cover a high-enough resolution scanner to scan in my extensive stock of 35mm pics. Most of the photos here have been taken with a Fuji Finepix S5100. Ooookeeey, enough said. Peruse at your leisure and enjoy!
