My name is R. Alec Bowman. Born in Bristol, England, raised in Toronto, Canada and California, U.S.A., now living in Kentucky, U.S.A. I started learning photography in high school working on the high school year book, and have been making photographs ever since. My love for photography is a "on again" "off again" interest. Now that I'm retired with lots of time on my hands it seems to be quite often "on again". Please take a look my work and I hope that you find enjoyment in some of the compositions.

Most of the animals displayed in my photographs are residents of zoos in the United States. Thank you to those zoos for their dedication to saving the species of the world.
