I am an amateur in photography. According to classification called advanced enthusiastic. I am an orthopaedic surgeon by profession. working as an professor, in Govt. Health Service, of Bangladesh. I enjoy my profession as an orthopaedic surgeon very much. I never thought of taking photography full time leaving my profession, though I have enough passion for photography.

I do photography whenever I get time and I do feel like. Some time I am deeply involved in this and sometime I don't do photography for months.

But I am doing photography for more than twenty years.

when i do photography, i go through my subjects, nature or human life and try to understand my subjects. I do travel a lot for photography, other wise i would not have gone to so close to the nature so many times in so many different situations. i learned to see nature in a different eye because of this. expression on human face is one the most favorite subject of mine. I try to understand a person by his expression. “every face tells a story”. I do not usually use flash for photography. I love to shoot any subjects with available light. with advancement of technology I am enjoying low light photography. now I am passionate about low light photography.

I don not have any institutional training/course on photography. I learned basic of photography from my friend Dr. Arefuddin Ahmad, now who is serving in Malaysia. He took many classes of basic photography only for one student (me). I shall be grateful to him for his effort as long as I live. That was very helpful. with that lesion I learned to learn photography by reading various books and literature (as a medical student I have a habit of reading and learning from books) . I am trying to learn every day with trial and error.

i started serious photography with OLYMPUS OM I & II in 1990.

I used nikon FM2, F80 and still have NIKON F100 (to me, so far the best camera i ever used).

then i joined Digital with nikon D100, then upgraded to D200 and D300.

I used various lenses of nikon and sigma to use with nikon film and digital camera.

then i discarded all my nikon gears except F100 and joined CANON.

now i have canon 5D mark II and 5D mark III and i have few lenses which are all L series. in fact to I joined canon for L series lens. I am learning to use my gears with their full potentials. so u can understand i have some fascination about photography gears ( like some of my friends), Some time I do photography just to use my gears.

I did not participate in any competition nor did i receive any award.
