I just reread the profile info that i wrote back in '08. That's 4 years ago and it was way too much information. Maybe I had thought I had reverted to my Catholic youth and was in the confessional. It's kind of an ego trip to think for one minute that anyone might actually care about all that stuff.
So, as we say in the program, I'll keep it simple. I live at the beach in Quonochontaug, Rhode Island. This was my second home for a while before deciding that I was burned out and wanted to semi-retire to the beach house. I don't regret the decision. The beach, the dunes, the coastal ponds, provide more than ample opportunities to take pictures, which I had not been doing often enough.
To counter a bit of photographic ennui, I have just replaced my D80 with a new D600. The 18-200 lens which was giving me focusing problems has been replaced by a 28-300 FX. It was getting really old fighting with the old lens to aquire focus. So, i have renewed enthusiasm and maybe I'll learn enough to take some better photographs. I hope so.
