I take photographs primarily to explore the function of memory (To quote Susan Sontag from "On Photography", "When we are nostalgic,we take pictures"). I believe (non-art) photography now is a pastime, practiced because people expect photos to be taken at many life events. What happens after to these photographs is irrelevant, only that pictures were taken.

I aim to offer an alternative, one picture at a time. It is as much a part of what I do that I correctly archive my work, as well as strive to effectively communicate.

Alas, Flickr is the world of the temporary and immediate, despite the contradiction that it is probably one of the best methods of archiving digital photographs currently available. I upload here because of the benefit of sharing work with many or select people as much as possible, and not because those pictures I do are necessarily the best. The best tend to be of clients, of which I respect my clients enough not to post their likeness to the web without discussion.
