Photography is my passion and my outlet for creative self expression. My HDR work, Modern Ruins, is inspired by my fascination with the impermanence of our material and earthly world. While there is great beauty in our human creations, there is also an other worldly beauty in the reclamation of those creations by time. I find myself drawn to the beauty of both, which I try to express in these images. At the same time, I also want to explore the other worldly beauty and life of the natural landscape. My series, Arboritium, is a series of "portraits" of trees which embody the ethereal for me. The final set is Alternative Processes which extends my exploration of the mysterious in landscape by using a Polaroid Transfer process to film slides of typical Kentucky landscape and images captured in Europe twenty five years ago.
