One of my New Year's Resolution was to write a testimonial or two. So here goes, I've known Oscar for about 9 years now and I never knew of his love of photography until about a year ago. He got me turned onto Flickr. Oscar would talk about anything- sports, work, people and it is always the same old same old but mention cameras (especially Nikons), photography, ISO, HDR and his eyes light up and he'll talk all day to you. He is very prideful of his work and he should be. Oscar gives your New York as it is. From the Alley's to the piers, from skyscrapers to the ghettos, from people working in stores to people in parade Oscar captures NY like no one else. He captures every color, every texture, every detail, evey angle and every feeling that NY has to offer and paints you a picture of NY that makes you want and visit all the spots he has been too. When you think of a horror book you think of Stephen King, when you want a good dish cooked for you you think of Bobby Flay, when you think of great artists you think of Van Gogh, Picasso, Rembrandt but when you want New York you think of Oscar aka Quiet Storm. Sure his other photograph is great but Oscar IS NEW YORK. I think Oscar would be happy taking picture all day around NY then coming to work- Hey! it is the center of his Universe. Keep up the great work Oscar : )

After reading what he wrote about me, I thought "well, I could have written a testimonial first!". Because ok, I first gave some tips & tricks about HDR but... right away I received enthusiasm and passion about photography (his and other's) in return! Yes, "enthusiasm and passion", I think these are the keywords of the man, even if I don't know him for long! He carries is camera everywhere he goes and that's visible in his photos. They are great snapshots of moments and places, raw captures of "his" city (NY) and of some paradise islands just before storms ;-)) He's also doing HDR images and there, he managed on his own to create a real "Oscar style"! So, yes, I have the pleasure of calling Oscar a friend too! You, Chulita .... and Bunny: take care of each others ;-) --Lilian
