Hi,

I enjoy photography, science and technology. I took several Photography classes in Jr. High and High School, where I learned wet processing, burning and dodging, cepia tone, potassium permangenate processing, 4X5 techniques etc...

I was accepted to Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California, but couldn't afford the tuition.

I've worked in the Entertainment Industry, Information Technology and Finance.

I served as a Best Boy and later as Head of Production for a medium-sized Visual Effects Studio for several years prior to becoming an IT Strategic Business Consultant.

I'm blown away by all the talented photographers here on Flickr. Not too long ago, I would have snapped up several of you guys and girls and put you to work in the Film Business.

In addition to Visual Effects, I also enjoy Art very much. Most of my family members are artists who have a difficult time accepting digital art - but I accept it fully.

Art is communicating your vision to others in such a way as to generate an emotional response. It doesn't matter what tools you use. We use the tools of our time. It's awesome how we've migrated from charcoal to pigment to mixed media, to digitally-enhanced drawings and photography.

Since I never got to pursue my passion when I was a kid, I'm persuing it now.

I just went through a "divorce" so my therapy has been to finally allow myself the indulgence of buying a used digital camera and a bunch of used camera gear so I can drown my "sorrows" in art, love and magic!

My goal is to learn from you all and master the top 10 techniques I admire in these forums:

1. Outdoor Strobist Guerilla Portrait Photography

2. HDR

3. Panoramas

4. Time exposures

5. Studies of the human form (Nudes)

6. Architectural studies

7. The list goes on and on (it's grown to 24 techniques now)

Thanks for befriending me. I look forward to sharing my work with you and vice versa!

Cameron
