I am 38, live in Leeds (Yorkshire - UK), and am new to photography (at this point March 2011!). I bought a Canon 550d with some Comet vouchers I had and am hooked. I think I needed a creative outlet, and a good hobby.

I love taking photos in nature, but also city scenes, and interesting things. I quite like a journalistic approach to photography, or finding humourous things, irony and anything that makes a statement, as well as a good photo.

I am a beginner so would welcome hints and tips and comments !
