Biog and Curriculum Vitae

Jane O’Sullivan was born in England and moved to Ireland in 1990.

She lives and works in County Mayo.

She graduated from a degree in Fine Art in 2009 from Galway Mayo Institute Technology. She had been working and studying as an artist /maker for many years in Theatre and Fashion. Her current art practice includes drawing , experimental film making, and installation using a combination of handmade and re-appropriated found objects.

She also makes limited edition artist books and zines ,very recently exhibiting at a juried show in the Temple Bar Art Gallery. She exhibits at the yearly Dublin Zine Fair, Independants Day and The Dublin Art Book Fair.

She also exhibits regularly in curated gallery group exhibitions of Contemporary Drawing and is often featured in online artist run sites and collaborative ventures.

She had a solo exhibition in 2011, would not violets grow from her heart at the Arts Council funded Custom House Studios Gallery Westport,Co.Mayo.She had a solo exhibition *life is Supported in Mysterious Ways* in Dublin july 5th-19th 2014 at the Talbot Gallery.

Janes work is in the collection of University College Hospital Galway, Mayo County Council, Frank McNaab Insurance Galway and Plattform Fur Junge Kunst (permenant art collection) Vienna Austria The ForgottenZine Archive Dublin and in many private collections.

She was awarded an exhibition assistant grant by Mayo County Council in 2011.
