I am a mother of 2 who likes to travel. I have been incredibly fortunate to be able to travel and visit other countries and see other peoples lives. In return I choose to photograph what I see, and share it with the less fortunate folks in my life. I have always been a big picture taker, but in the last few years it has taken off a lot. In high school I was always that girl who had the camera in her bag. Unfortunately it led to many, many, prank photos. Nothing like developing your film to find that your friends/classmates have taken off and snapped a photo of themselves, or their ... unmentionables! As I get older I enjoy it more and more. Some days I think I would like to make a business of it, and others I doubt myself. I have yet to receive any sort of formal training, so maybe if I do that, I will feel less self doubt, who knows. For now I just enjoy it, and enjoy sharing my photos with anyone who would like to view them. I am still very much a beginner with a lot of the technical parts of photography though. I wanted to take photography classes in my high school, but the school only offered it to Seniors who had taken Journalism for 2 years prior. I hated Journalism, and so I never took either. I like Journalism some now, but my lack of affection for writing and grammar help to stunt that. I am very much, NOT a writer.

You might also notice, that although I do love the artsy shots, I do have fun with the "obligatory tourist shots" for some regions. Sometimes I get caught up in a fast snap mentality. :o) Some days I am just amazed by the things my camera can do.
