I am a professional drifter and I also dabble in freeloading.
As of this writing, I was in the outskirts of the city of Olympia in the state of Washington. I'm planning to head to Greybull, Wyoming for a few weeks. After that, maybe Cashmere, WA for a while. Travel is a major hassle with gas prices n'at. I've always preferred fuel economy over looks in my cars, but now I'm thinking of getting a bike to cut down even more. I don't really need to carry more than will fit on the back of a bike. And I got good rain gear and all that.
Sometimes I take pictures in my travels, but I do tend to go for long stretches with no photos to show for my troubles. I'm getting better (I think) at photography and plan to do more of it in the future.
I shoot a battered, old Nikon D40. My favorite lens lately has been a 50mm Nikkor made before autofocus was invented and with which my camera can't even do auto exposure. So I mostly shoot in all manual these days... If I'm going to be letting anyone else (those who know not of f-stops) use the camera, I'll stick the 18-55mm kit lens on it (it's a pretty good lens for autofocus.)
There are only a few things that irritate me about the camera.
