Over the next three years, we will be reorienting our physical relationship with the park, creating a new “front porch,” a greener and more inviting area for public interaction between the museum and the Unisphere. This project will lay the groundwork for the use of that space and beyond.

Our ultimate goal is to empower and enable participants, especially the immigrants who comprise the bulk of our nontraditional museumgoing audience, to maintain their sense of investment and ownership in the Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
