My love for photography started with one of the free 110mm cameras that McDonnald's gave out in their kids meals when I was a kid. After I got my first roll of film back from the developers I was hooked. My Grandpa, Father, and a handful of my Father's friends where my first all in photographer mentors. Each one of them helped me learn the technical side of composing a photograph while inspiring me to explore the artistic and creative side of photography.

One fine day, on my 15 birthday, my father gave me my first fully manual film SLR with a 50mm lens. It was simple, basic and fun to use! I would take the money that I earned from my newspaper route to pay for each roll of film and then wait up to a week to get them processed. The anticipation was exhilarating.

At age 24 I moved across the country (Canada) to live in Alberta and tie-the-knot with my beautiful bride. Under the demands of supporting a growing family I bough my first digital camera to capture as many memories as possible of parenthood, family life, and our crazy adventures together, minus the cost of developing.

Thank you for visiting my flickr page. I appreciate all of the comments and suggestions that each person takes the time and effort to write on my pictures. They are most helpful and encouraging to me.

There are so many talented and gifted photographers on flickr that I easily get lost in one photo-stream after another seeing the world through fresh pairs of passionate eyes!

My hope for each of you reading this is that you will keep on releasing your passion into each photograph that you take. Only you can see the world around you through your unique eyes. Your perspective matters. It has value, courage, humour, strength and purpose...and it will make an impact on the world around you as you share your point of view with others.
